Joel from Mahurangi Joinery was recommended to us so, when after a long time thinking about refurbishing our house, we went to talk to him about doors.

We kind of knew what we wanted but not quite, and we went to see him unsure as to whether he could help us. Joel listened to what we said, gave us some pointers to think about; didn’t put us under any pressure but suggested we come back once we had looked through the information he provided.

We went back, told him what we wanted for new doors throughout our house and in particular what we wanted for a new front door which was particularly important to us and would need to be custom made. 

Joel promised to come back with a price – he did and we told him when we needed the doors so they would fit in with our refurbishment works; he said ok.

Joel kept us updated with what he was doing; checked sizes on site; listened to our paranoia and then on time told us the doors were ready – but we weren’t!

So he stored them until we were and then delivered them on site in stages to meet our works program.

The front door was one of the last elements of the works and when it arrived and was installed – my goodness what a difference! We are absolutely delighted; it is lovely and totally changes the image of the house when you arrive. We are absolutely thrilled.

Joel delivered and kept to the agreed price even though we mucked him about; nothing was too much trouble and the end result is first class. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to anyone looking for both a personalised service and quality product.
